The Margate School District will offer a Pilot Preschool Inclusion Program beginning at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. Seats will be limited and will be awarded via lottery. The program will run Monday-Friday from 8:15 a.m.-11:15 a.m, following the dates of the Margate School District Calendar. Children must reside in Margate or Longport and be three or four years old on October 1, 2025.
Classroom Instruction will utilize the New Jersey Department of Education approved curriculum, The Creative Curriculum. The Creative Curriculum for Preschool empowers children to be confident, creative, and caring learners through play-based, hands-on investigations—a research-based approach that incorporates language, literacy, and mathematics throughout the day. More information can be found here, https://teachingstrategies.com/product/the-creative-curriculum-for-preschool/.
For families needing afternoon care, the district offers courtesy busing to the Jewish Community Center or Playgroups Plus, provided your child is enrolled in their programs. Seats will be awarded through a lottery held on August 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., in the Ross School Media Center. The class size will not exceed 15 students.
